Today after my shoot, I went on a shopping spree and bought 5 new shades of eye shadows from MAC. I was always scrambling around my makeup kit when I am at work looking for matte shades for brides and always failed. I would always substitue with something else so finally, in spite of my aching back, legs and feet from a whole afternoon of shooting, I went to Glorietta and bought myself a whole set of shades that I always wished I had!!
Thank goodness my sister was in my condo when I arrived so I tested my new products on her... yes, complete with foundation and false eyelashes!
I used 4 shades on her eyes, and the 5th shade was just plain black so I used it only on her lash lines.
I created a bridal look that was lightly heavy on the eyes. I just wanted to do this because brides are always afraid to use eyeliner, afraid that they might look "too made up" or "too dramatic". So, this is just to show women out there that eyeliner is always, always, always a best option. It looks best in pictures too.
Of course, the decision is always up to my brides because I want them to not only look their best on their big day, but to be comfortable with the makeup as much as possible.

Tina ♥
My bride last July, Tina Caranto, came to me today again for a makeup session. She's attending a wedding at the glass garden so I kept her makeup fresh in earthy colors. I didn't use warm tones though, more on cool shades such as berries, pinks and rose.
She only wanted regular makeup this time, not anymore airbrush because she's only a guest now... Hahaha!

My beautiful December bride Monica had her trial session today. She came from Singapore to fix some stuff for the wedding including our hair and makeup trial.
Airbrush makeup for Monica and dramatic eyes. Her wedding is an evening wedding so dramatic eyes was the way to go. I love how her eyes are easy to put makeup on and we really had fun at her trial today.
Monica wanted an upstyle and she wanted volume at the top of her head. She can go with the volume because her fiance is tall.
She was opting for a bun but Tony didn't want a dated look so this is the hair that Tony came up with.

Beautiful bride Len had her early trial session this morning to make it to their 10AM prenup pictorial. She was a little bit skeptic about airbrush makeup but I was able to convince her that airbrush is still the best, even though she had good skin.
Bridal makeup doesn't have to be boring and plain, you can look natural and glowing without a whole lot of products. So this is the look I created for her with lush long lashes.
This is Tony's hair creation with the hair piece that Len brought:
Hanna Marco Trial Hair and Makeup
My good friend Hanna had her trial makeup today. She's attending a wedding so what better day to do the trial right? Anyway, I'm doing her makeup in January and I am very excited!
Airbrush is perfect for Hanna, she's not used to having thick makeup so this was the formula best for her. I made the focus her eyes and her lips which suited her best. I wanted her to look natural but not plain and boring. A romantic look that suited her elegant gown :)

Michelle Rico Trial Hair and Makeup
My Victorian bride, Michelle. This was the first time Tony and I cam across a bride who was having a Victorian themed wedding. Michelle said that it was not an authentic, to-the-letter type theme, but a Victorian INSPIRED one. So, instead of doing the Victorian character makeup of bright pink blush and thick white skin (like that of Queen Elizabeth), I did the traditional no-makeup makeup look with lush peach cheeks and glossy lips. Of course, this was airbrush makeup.
This is what tony did for a modernized Victorian hairstyle:

Lianne is attending a wedding today that's why we made her makeup a little less bride-ish. I love the shape of her eyes so playing it up was easy. She shapes her own eyebrows and they are gorgeous! I love it!
She wanted a loose pony-tail like hair-do for her wedding so this is what Bea came up with:

Hasmin's wedding is modern-vintage. Instead of doing the typical red lips, I did the light smokey eye on her so that her eyes will pop and will open up her eyes. On top of the airbrush makeup base, I added iridescent powder on the airbrush setting powder so that her eyes will look glowing.
Hasmin wanted the Jessica Alba's un-done look. She also wanted a little frills that would fall around her face. This is the hair that Tony did for her.

Margs' new look
My sister Margs was attending a wedding today. After my appointments in the morning, I did her makeup for the wedding. I was getting tired of the no-makeup look on her so I convinced her I was going for a smokey look this time.
A few years ago, I did a smokey look on her but I over did it. It still looked good on her, but I was a little too liberal with the eyeshadow. Haha! So this time, I stuck with a blended copper colored khol pencil and some grey eyeshadow. The finished look was beautiful. It suited her well. I also put false lashes on her.

It was important that I shape Cristina's brows to frame the shape of her face beautifully. She doesn't have her brows done regularly so I had plenty to work with.
I would have done her brows darker to emphasize it in photos, but Cristina wanted to see how they would look without much product. It's lovely as well.
Even though Cristina had long lashes, I put falsies on her to make them thicker and fuller. It looks best in photos!

Tony curled Cristina's hair and pinned it up to show her the up-style. Cristina told Tony that she wanted curls and an up-do but doesn't want it to look too fixed. She used conditioner so the style wouldn't hold up for too long so Tony just gave her a short preview on the wedding look.
