Sarah Alon Trial Hair and Makeup

My beautiful bride Sarah had her trial hair and makeup today with me and Tony. This was the first time we met and I immediately fell in love with her :) She's so sweet and blessed with good skin! I just love her smile and her eyes are very easy to put makeup on. Just a little already gave a lot of character!

Sarah wanted a look that was fresh and natural. Something that doesn't look over made but has definition in pictures. After airbrush, I applied bronzer all over her face to give a little glow and a rose-colored blush to give a natural yet warmth on her cheeks. Perfect for her Tagaytay wedding. A little bit more than the usual blush on her cheeks is appropriate since it's cold in Tagaytay. Hence, the "rosey cheeks" look.

As for Sarah's hair, she wanted a loose look, nothing "banat" or a wet look, full of hairstyling products. Something soft and natural as well. So this is what Tony did:

Jenny Francia Trial Hair and Makeup

My May 9 bride, Jenny Francia, who is having her outdoor wedding in Caleruega had her hair and makeup trial today. She opted for the traditional makeup for her wedding day.

She's doing a beautiful semi-1940s wedding, and having her reception at Sonya's Garden.

For the makeup, she wanted red lips. Jenny was thinking of something brighter, but I went for something deeper. I wanted a seductive color that would go very well with her bare eye makeup.

I used a neutral shade of brown for her eyes just for contouring, and a light gold shadow for base. I double-coated her lashes with waterproof mascara before putting the false eyelashes on. I thinly lined her upper lash lines with a liquid eye liner just to cover up the lash band, and a tiny flip in the end to make her lashes appear thicker at the outer part of her eyes.

Jenny has a pair of light eyebrows so I defined them with a liquid brow gel to shape and thicken.

Facial contouring was necessary for a bit more drama, and emphasis on the cheekbones. The cheekbones and the lips would be the highlight of the whole makeup look.

What Tony did for the hair was simple but went very well with Jenny's headpiece. She bought it online and it was really nice! Very 40s vintage!

This is Tony's creation:

Curious about what shade I used on her lips? It's Lancome's Le Crayon Countour Des Levres in Cuivre/Garnet.

Zet Sarra Trial Hair and Makeup

My lovely November '09 bride from Abu Dhabi, she's a flight attendant and is as lovely as she seems when we were emailing each other to book her Tagaytay wedding.

Today was Zet's trial hair and makeup session, and it is the first time we met as well. We spent the first 20 minutes discussing her gown, hair, and makeup looks before we got started.

Zet wanted to do a smokey eye because she's not so much of a lipstick fan, which was also a wise choice. After the airbrush makeup, I did the smokey eye but not in the typical black or grey. I used shades like old rose, bronze, and brown. She was having an outdoor wedding so I think the shades would suit that.

I highlighted the inner part of her eyes with an old rose shade of shadow with a slight shimmer. This emphasized her cat-eye shaped eyes so much more.

The blush is a delicate shade of old rose as well.

Zet has a set of great looking brows so not much product was needed to shape and emphasize it. I used MAC's brow mascara to thicken it.

Lancome's Color Fever Shine lipstick in a blushing brownish pink was the perfect product for Zet. It's sheer and has shimmer which would be perfect for someone who's not used to using high-pigmented lip colors.

Hairstylist Tony Dusich did 2 options for her bridal hair that would go perfect with her lace gown and outdoor-venue setting. I love that Tony is willing to do options during trial to show my brides different looks for her wedding day. He tells brides if the hairstyle that she wants would suit her and would make suggestions.

Marie Sabine Trial Hair and Makeup

Binnie sent me this picture from our trial makeup session. She only wanted her hair down because they were going to Tagaytay for their pre-nuptial photoshoot.

I used airbrush on her. Binnie wanted a fresh makeup look for her wedding. Just some eyeliner and mascara, a whole lotta blush and very pale pink glossy lips.
