To tell you the truth, I have always been skeptic about mineral makeup. I thought that it was just a term they used as a hype by cosmetic brands help them sell their products.

But when I was invited by VOM to be one of their Brand Ambassadors, I had to take the plunge and did some intense Google-ing before the event to find out more about Mineral Makeup. I had a complete 180 when I attended the Virginia Olsen Minerals (VOM) bloggers event last April 19. I got to experience the products first hand and did more than a dozen product swatches testing the pigments, texture, and lasting power.

Whenever I need makeup inspiration when doing fashion makeup for shoots or makeup for runway shows, first thing I Google is: Katy Perry Makeup. I already have a folder with her name on it on my iPad saving images of her different makeup looks so I can easily access them and show them as pegs for shoots.

Although some of her makeup looks are a little bit extreme to wear during the day, I still love how her makeup matches her very colorful personality. I just love how adventurous she is with her makeup looks, and she doesn't seem to care what people think about them.
