Splurge vs. Steal (Series 4)

Hey ladies! I'm back with another series of Splurge vs. Steal! Sorry it took me a while to post a new one... I had to compile, use, assess and test each product! But anyway, I finally did it and I am here to share with you my latest "discoveries"!

I can't emphasize this more: When I do the Splurge vs. Steal series, I do not indicate which is the better product or which is superior. This is for those who would like to get same results for a lower price tag.

1. BENEFIT Porefessional (P1,600) vs. MAYBELLINE Pore Eraser (P229)

I'm not much of a pore eraser kind of girl but when I tried Benefit's Porefessional, I was impressed! I never put on makeup without it now. My first tube was about to run out and I wanted to look for an alternative so that I can compare the two. I have tried 3 other pore refining products that you can use before makeup but only one stood out, and that was Maybelline's Pore Eraser.

My 'Empties' Post

#empties

Yay! It's a very happy day today because I can finally post an "empties" post! It takes a long time to collect empty bottles of products before you can make such post that's why it's such a happy day for me! Hehehe... It's my first one too by the way.

It's also rare for me to get to the bottom of the barrel because I am always opening new products so it takes longer for me to finish them, or they expire even before I even get to scrape the bottom. So YAY!

Sweet Looking Makeup

One of my favorite looks for everyday is looking fresh and sweet. I love using colors like bright pink, corals, and pinkish-nudes. I think they’re very feminine and the shades really brighten up the entire face.

Collie Collection sent me a whole lotta loot to try from their Mineral Cosmetics line. It’s actually heaven in a small little black paper bag.

I was going to meet 3 brides and today was the day I was going to try my new makeup! I was very excited!

After I cleansed and moisturized my face, I applied Colour Collection’s CoQ10 Age Defying BB Cream on my cheeks, forehead, chin and nose by dotting a pea-sized amount of the product. Spread towards your hairline.

They have 2 shades of pressed powder, Light and Natural. They are both yellow-based and the shade isn’t really that far away from each other. I went for the Natural shade. Mineral makeup tend to be thick specially powders so I used a fluffy brush to apply the powder. The result is just flawless and natural-looking! It doesn’t look cakey or thick!

After I did my brows, by using Colour Collection’s Eyebrow Pencil by the way (I got this weeks ago), I applied CC’s Mineral Blush-on Duo. I don’t usually recommend applying blush with the small blush brushes that come with blushes but I wanted to give this one a try. In spite of its size, it’s easy to control making blending effortless. I lie the fact that the hair of the tiny brush doesn’t easily come off leaving your face with strands of synthetic hair, this one however, has soft natural hair.

After softening my lips with petroleum jelly, I blotted excess jelly from my lips and smoothed on CC’s Mineral Lipstick in Satin Shell. They sent me 5 shades but I already had 3 of them so I decided to give the ones I don’t have a try.

From what I wrote in my previous posts about CC’s mineral cosmetics’ lipsticks, I mentioned that I just adore how their lipsticks smell. It smells just like MAC’s lipsticks and has amazing color! It glides on easily being creamy lipstick and all, but with these lipsticks, you won’t even need lipgloss because the color is just divine. Its color staying power is also amazing! If you blot and reapply, the longer the color stays on!

For all you other makeup enthusiasts out there, Colour Collection takes the cake! I would definitely recommend this brand to women who want affordable yet high quality makeup products!

From Day to Night...

Changing your daytime look at the office can take as fast as 3-5 minutes!

After work, freshen up your makeup by spraying your face lightly with cool water from an atomizer. Let dry and blot excess with a tissue. Then press blotting paper on your face to blot oil (there are a lot of brands out there, so take your pick), dab and don’t rub or wipe. You will just be wiping off makeup forcing you to reapply your entire makeup.

Blend a dark gray or black eyeshadow to the outer corner of your eyes using a blending brush working your way towards the center. Blend the center of your eyeshadow with your ring finger until they are very well blended together.

Sweep a little dark bronzer on your cheekbones to add color to your cheeks.

Apply your favorite night lip color. I love Colour Collection’s Mineral Cosmetics in Smooth Wine (photographed above P199), it’s just like MAC’s Viva Glam I lipstick except it’s creamy and not very matte, not to mention, it’s 1/5 of the price! Matte lipsticks can be drying specially I your lips chap a lot. Colour Collection Lipsticks are my current fave!

Pat blotting powder on your nose like Elianto’s Blotting Powder to mattify your face to finish.

Get glowing skin effortlessly!

Pinch me, I’m dreaming!

Finally! The BB Cream I ordered from my cousin has arrived.

My cousin China was the one who made me try this and I just fell immediately in love with it. And it’s thru my cousin Cristalle who works at Tupperware where she discovered this product.

Unlike other BB Creams in the market today, this one is a tad darker and gets absorbed by the skin faster. Hence, making it more natural looking, and not scary stark white.

I used to use Maybelline’s BB Cream but after I’ve tried The Colour Collection’s rendition of the fabulous miracle cream, I rather found Maybelline’s too white. It does however blends on your skin a few hours later.

TCC (my shortcut for The Colour Collection)’s formula has the same consistency as any other BB Creams out there, and trust me, I’ve tried most brands who carry them. One of the amazing things about the BBC is that it’s a moisturizer, SPF, concealer, and foundation rolled into one. You can apply it directly on cleansed skin, but I found that it’s easier to apply BBC after a separate moisturizer.

TCC’s BBC hides imperfections and feels like airbrush on the skin, as I describe to my brides: airbrush is like second skin. It’s light-wearing and flawless but still natural looking.

You can wear it alone, or you can set the BBC with loose powder for a more polished look. I love brushing a thin layer of loose powder over it just so it doesn’t “slide off” during the day in this extremely humid and sticky weather.

I recommend just putting a half pea-size amount on your pointer finger and dab on your forehead, on both your cheeks, on the tip of your nose and on your chin. Spread and blend outwards towards your hairline and make sure that you have applied it evenly. Start with a thin layer and just add when you need more coverage.

You can order this amazing BBC from TCC online at http://www.tupperwarebrands.phor with your friendly neighborhood Tupperware Seller :)

Blushing Lippie

My cousin who works for Tupperware Brands gave me a lipstick from their Colour Collection Line.

A creamy lipstick that glides on easily on your lips even without a lip primer or a balm.

I love that it smells like MAC’s lipsticks and that it’s not exactly matte nor is it glossy.

The color is named Tea Rose which I think is just divine. A pastel pink colored lipstick that is über feminine perfect for everyday use.

The reason why I just love bright colored lipsticks is that it can brighten up your complexion and it’s girly. Hehehe… So enough of those nude coffee, or mocha colored lippies and try bright colored lipsticks today! You will immediately notice the lift effect it gives!

Try the different shades from the Colour Collection by Tupperware. Just visitwww.tupperwarebrands.ph.
