Lizette Bautista Trial Hair and Makeup

My pretty bride Lizette. Isn't she sweet? She was so easy to work with, I love that she trusted me and Tony with the hair and makeup.

Airbrush makeup emphasized her beautiful skin. I used 2 layers only on airbrush and the finish was enough to cover any redness on her face. I wanted her skin to still be shown so 2 layers was more than enough :)

This is the hair that Tony did:

Chesa's First Trial Session

Chesa is getting married next Friday and she found an opportunity to have her first trial session with me. It was her grandma's birthday and they were going to an all-day affair celebrating it.

Instead of doing a full-blown wedding makeup look, I did her makeup more subtly just giving her enough color for a daytime event, but enough too to be not washed out at night.

Her fair clear skin was a big part of beautifully applied makeup. I didn't even have to spend so much time blending her airbrush makeup because her skin is well taken cared of.

This is not going to be her wedding day makeup look, we had this session just for her to get a feel of the makeup and how color looks on her face. She never wears any makeup so I didn't want to shock her with too much makeup! Hehehe... So come her wedding day, we will be doing a more defined makeup look.

As for Chesa's hair, Tony also didn't do her wedding up-do because she might look too made up during the day and for night. So he kept it more casual and yet classy. A hairstyle that looks like she did it herself:

Hanna Alerta Trial Hair and Makeup

This is Hanna, my other bride who has gorgeous morena skin. I love that her skin is golden in color and I am able to use my iridescent gold airbrush formula to make her skin look more plump and healthy!

She was going to have her prenup pictorial as well today so I did a no-makeup makeup look on her as well. Just a fresh look as to not make her look so made up on a casual shoot.

MJ Mascarenas Trial Hair and Makeup

My lovely bride MJ. Beautiful MJ with a very angelic face. I did MJ's makeup for her prenup pictorial today. I made everything simple and created a no-makeup makeup look, just enough color to make her look fresh for the pictorial.

Tony straightened her hair for a casual look.

Karla Fernandez Trial Hair and Makeup

Meet Karla, my January bride. She had beautiful fair skin so going peach/pink for her makeup was the way to go. We did her makeup in airbrush so that it will last the whole day during her prenup pictorial. I would have wanted her to wear falsies but she couldn't get used to them, but that's ok. Karla still looked great!

Tony set her hair in curls so that when it's time for the pictorial, Karla just had to remove all the hair pins off her head. She had a good 2 hours to set her hair before the pictorial so Tony did this trick.

It's also perfect for her outdoor look so that it won't be too stiff for the garden setup.

Michelle Rico Trial Hair and Makeup

My Victorian bride, Michelle. This was the first time Tony and I cam across a bride who was having a Victorian themed wedding. Michelle said that it was not an authentic, to-the-letter type theme, but a Victorian INSPIRED one. So, instead of doing the Victorian character makeup of bright pink blush and thick white skin (like that of Queen Elizabeth), I did the traditional no-makeup makeup look with lush peach cheeks and glossy lips. Of course, this was airbrush makeup.

This is what tony did for a modernized Victorian hairstyle:

Janah Ledesma Trial Hair and Makeup

Janah's wedding is getting close! We have a little bit over a month before her big day and I can't wait! We finally met today! She had her hair and trial session for her prenup pictorial.

For someone who doesn't wear makeup a lot (or sometimes none at all), airbrush makeup was the way to go. It feels so light on the skin, and perfect for an outdoor shoot. Tony didn't have plenty to work with on Janah's hair, but I think what he did was uber fantastic. Very fresh!

Trina Tan Trial Hair and Makeup

The lovely Trina! I love the shape of her brows and how her cheekbones didn't need much contouring for it to pop, and how her nose didn't need to be put a nose line either! She opted for airbrush makeup for her wedding.

Pardon the lighting which made Trina's skin look orange-y. I had to use my mirror lights for the photograph because we had her session on the day of the storm so no natural light! Haha!

Hazel Sabong Hair and Makeup Trial

My lovely bride Atty. Hazel Sabong's trial hair and makeup session.

This is airbrush makeup. She was going to have her prenup photoshoot in Intramuros, and she was having a victorian theme for the shoot. So having a no-makeup makeup look or something really really fresh was the way to go.

I really love her eyes, it's so easy to play up. And her high cheekbones! I didn't have to contour because Hazel has such lovely bone structure already. I just high lighted her apple-cheeks with a lovely pale pink shade to make her cheeks pop!

Meanwhile... 2 months later, Hazel sent me this picture from her prenup pictorial... She was still fresh, after hours wearing the makeup:

Donna Lim Hair and Makeup Trial

Donna has clear, fair skin. I still did airbrush on her because she told me she wasn't used to wearing makeup at al, so airbrush really is the way to go since it feels like second skin. Airbrush is for girls who are not used to having anything on their face.

For Donna's eyes, I used matte shadows and a light gold shimmer shadow for her brow bones. I kept the blush really fresh and light so it would blend well with her light lip color as well.

I posted pics here so you can see different angles of Donna so that you can see her makeup. I also posted pictures of Tony's hairstyles.

Ghia Balleras Trial Hair and Makeup

Ghia is my beautiful bride from Maryland, USA. She and I have been coordinating via email since October, and we finally met this morning for her hair and makeup trial! Her wedding will be this Sunday already and we're both very excited!

I didn't have any problem matching Ghia's lovely skin tone with the airbrush formulas that I have because she has a lovely shade of tan.

The wanted to keep the focus on her eyes. I don't know why I wanted a very dramatic yet classic and natural for her eyes. I love the shape of her eyes.

One of Ghia's main concerns was her oily skin, but I still didn't want to make her uber matte for her wedding so I created a subtle dewy skin only on her cheeks to give her skin a great glow.

Here are more frontal pictures of Ghia:

My bridal hairstylist for Ghia's wedding is Bea Misa of Khiel's. Ghia wanted a Jessica Alba finger-swept hair and a low chignon that rests on the nape of her neck. After our trial session, Bea styled her hair in a half ponytail for Ghia's hen party at 7pm.

Rachel Gaza Trial Hair and Makeup

Rachel had her trial session today at 6am, she was going to Eco Park with her fiance for their prenup pictorial at 9am :)

When I first saw her, the first thing that I loved about her was the color and the tone of her skin. She had beautiful morena skin and a warm tone.

Her smile was also what I loved about her and I knew that whatever look I did for her, she would look very sweet. Some brides must stick to a no-makeup makeup look because too much can make their features stronger. Even the eyeliner on Rachel suited her.

I combined 3 shades of blush. Orange, Peach, and Pink for the apples. Blending them together brought out her tone more. Remember, it doesn't mean that if you are morena, you can't wear any other shades. You just have to carefully choose the shades of your blush in such a way bring out your best color, and not make you look mis-matched. You have to know your skin tone and color for you to do this technique.

For her hair, Tony did a half ponytail since it was only a prenup shoot. Having her done upstyle may be too much for the photos.

See you in September Rachel!
