Ok. I told myself that I wasn't going to make another post on brushes, I mean, not for a while because I am very happy with my current brush set from CHARM, but here I am again. I couldn't help myself because I found yet another set of brushed that have tickled my fancy in great makeup tools.

The thing with setting sprays is that, whether it is a 500 peso bottle or a 3 thousand peso bottle, they work just about the same. It still boils down to the type of your skin if it can hold makeup. I remember setting my face with just plain water, sprayed from an atomizer and it worked just as well. For the longest time I avoided setting sprays because I thought that making it last with water will do until I tried 2 of Urban Decay's setting sprays.

Believe it or not, this is only the second velvet lipstick I own. I just felt that velvet lipsticks are not for summer so I didn't bother to look around for one that would be worth wearing in the heat. Until VMV Hypoallergenics sent me their velvet -matte lippie and I just loved the color. And I adore the name: Bikini Machine.

To tell you the truth, I have always been skeptic about mineral makeup. I thought that it was just a term they used as a hype by cosmetic brands help them sell their products.

I have been obsessed with having my hair dyed red for a while now, and I was thrilled to have come across L'Oreal's NEW Excellence Fashion Hair Dye Series in different levels of red: Intense Ruby Red, Intense Violet Red, Intense Spicy Red, and Intense Copper Red. This is a first in the Philippine Market. A bright red do-it-yourself, home kit dye. I decided to go with the most subtle red they had just in case this one works really well on my perfectly damaged hair.

I have always admired international celebrities who have long, lush, and LUSTful lashes, both upper and lower lashes. It's amazing how much their eyes stand out even with just a little wash of color and what seems like a whole tube of mascara. If you have chinky eyes, there are 2 products that you must have in your stash: A white eyeliner, and a whole lotta mascara.
Another solution if there is a shortage of lower lashes in your face: False lower lashes!

Stick foundations was relatively new in the market when I first started doing makeup in 2004, and I always opted for liquid foundation (First of all, it looked cooler to have more bottles in your kit. Hee-hee). I first started using stick foundations when I started to travel for makeup gigs. I had to downsize my makeup kit, and transfer my liquid foundations to lightweight plastic dispensers.
Then years later, I had to move on to airbrushing to keep up with the times, and had long forgotten how much I loved stick foundations. Until recently.

When I first saw Preview magazine's cover this month, April 2013, I immediately fell in love with the makeup look, specially that blue eyeliner. I think this look is very wearable whether to work or just window shopping at the mall. It's fresh and chic, definitely adds spunk to complete your overall look!
Loose Powders is one of the products I can't live without. I have a whole range of loose powders and not one is the same. I was sent 2 loose powders and they have their own unique qualities that made me love them to bits!
Let me tell you about the eye shadow I discovered recently. I was at Watson's looking for sponges and my eye caught Ever Bilena's Eyeshadow Quartet. A beautiful eyeshadow palette that is composed entirely of matte eyeshadows. I just fell in love with it immediately!

One of the best things about having bleached eyebrows (not necessarily blonde), is that it brightens up the entire face. Rule of thumb is, your brows should be about 1/2 to 1 shade lighter than your natural hair color. If you already have naturally blonde hair, then you can go 1/2 to 1 shade darker than your natural har color.

Ever since I made that review on Nature Republic's lip products, I have been getting a lot of questions in my email on how to make your own lip scrub. Doing this lip scrub is easy and the ingredients are found in every household pantry, well, except for the coconut oil maybe, but it's pretty easy to do!
One of my pet peeves is having lady staches. You know, that thick patch of hair that grows on the sides of our upper lips? Well, there is no easy way to say this, but I will just put it bluntly like ripping off a waxing strip so to speak.
It's unattractive and it's ugly (sorry). Makeup doesn't stick to them so no matter how lovely you apply your makeup, it would still look flaky and dirty. There are a lot of facial products now that get rid of these 'staches so there is no excuse anymore.
